Waterloo City Centre
Waterloo ON
Project Details
Jade Logic Building Technologies completed this retrofit project for the City of Waterloo. The City Hall facility is near an apartment complex and as a result, faced the challenge of implementing a quiet system to ensure the apartment’s occupants remain undisturbed.
The networked hardware in this project included a system located on the City’s local area network and accessible through a dedicated VPN. The mechanical equipment includes four large, custom-built, VAV roof-mounted air handling units, built with Reliable Controls equipment installed at the factory. The system was retrofitted with new rooftop equipment over one weekend, and was fully functional by the time the building was occupied on the next working day.
In order to meet the requirement of eliminating excessive system noise, Jade Logic Building Technologies provided a custom design, which was successful in providing a quiet, efficient system, as well as full functionality.
The Sound of Silence
Waterloo City Centre includes City Hall, which encompasses both offices and outside tenants. The City of Waterloo is familiar with Reliable Controls products, with many related buildings using the MACH-System, including the Waterloo Public Library, Canadian Clay and Glass Museum, and the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.
